Never too late to start...

So my friend Chelsey and her two sisters have inspired me through their blog, We Three, to start recording my own memories with my children as they grow.  Today, Jayden is just over 2.5 yrs old and Ethan is 8.5 months old.  Time is spiraling out of control, slipping too fast between my fingers.  I keep telling myself everyday that I'll remember these little things they do and say, but it's almost impossible to do so without writing it down.  So...here goes....to keeping my memories for me and my boys, and anyone else who wants to read!

Since I haven't done such a great job at journaling up until now, let me catch you up on where they are today....

Ethan's first tooth came thru on Aug 22!  He is such a determined and vivacious little boy!  So much energy and heart! He is so much fun and laughs all the time.  He just started gulping down cheerios recently!  Is doing quite well with mastering the hand to mouth movement.  He is also up on his knees and about to start crawling any week now!  I absolutely love this little guy.

Jayden is awesome!  He is growing leaps and bounds.  I absolutely cannot believe he is about to turn 3 years old and he begins preschool next month!  He is talking up a storm and learning new things everyday!  He is the love of my life and best pal!  I adore my little man and look forward to seeing him and hearing the new things he has to say everyday.

Well, like the title states - It's never too late to start - so here are a few tidbits from today...

Today was my summer baby sitter's last day.  After work, came home to Ethan just waking from his nap.  I love spending one on one time with him while Jayden is sleeping....but that didn't last too long, as shortly after I heard Jayden's footsteps coming down the stairs, and then my favorite little voice says, "hi mommy!"  With a big smile he runs to me, jumps in my lap, gives me a big hug around the neck and says "mommy's home!"  Melts my heart!

After tons of playing and being silly, we put Ethan back down for a nap and J and I go outside to play for a while until daddy comes home.  Another one of my favorite things is to watch Jayden run up to his daddy so excited to see him!

While I cooked dinner, daddy cut the grass and Jayden chased daddy in his new (used) powerwheel truck!  He's really getting the hang of steering that thing!

Now both babies are down for the night and we have a bit of quiet time before heading off to bed.....

Tomorrow, I want to plan how I will begin a morning routine for myself and the kids.  I need to have some quite time in the morning to reflect, pray, read, and just be still.  I pray the Lord will help guide me in this process.....

Until tomorrow,
Sharon
