Jayden's First Tooth!
What a big day!!! Jayden received his first tooth today! How precious :) In case you can't tell, it's the little white nub in the middle of his mouth.

Pumpkin Patch 2010
Today we took Jayden to the Berry Farm to pick out his very first pumpkin - although he fell asleep while we were on the hayride out to the field - so in essence, mommy picked out his first pumpkin! We had a great day with Olivia, her mom and the babies :) Looking forward to Halloween where we think he will dress up as a ducky - the verdict is still out on that!

Last Day at the Beach :(
OK, so I lied...Jayden DOES like the sand! We took him to the beach for the last time this morning and he actually started playing in the sand after he warmed up to the idea! What a great baby...played in the sand and then took a nap in the shade...boy what a rough life! But I guess someone's gotta live it! We've had a blast here and can't wait to continue on the tradition for many years to come!
OBX or Bust!
What an awesome time we've had at the beach! Jayden's first beach vacation...the entire family came and we had a wonderful time. The weather couldn't have been better...mid 80's the whole week :) Jayden and Russell loved the beach - Russell actually played in the sand and had a grand ol' time - didn't throw any surprisingly :0 Jayden on the other hand, didn't care for the sand or surf! Not to worry, I'm sure he'll be running all around in it next summer!

Labor Day Cookout
What a beautiful weekend! Finally, 80 deg!!! We had a great time at aunt Becky's for a cookout to celebrate Grace and Heather's birthdays...even though Heather couldn't be there b/c she was sick and had to work on top of that :(

8th Month of Life
I can't believe Jayden turns 8 months old on Sept. 4! He is growing up so fast. He is sitting up really well now, playing and figuring toys out on his own. He is feeding himself with his hands much better now (eating puffs for the first time)...even though sometimes he fits his entire fist in his mouth :) He loves to stand and is even taking steps when we guide him. He still hates to lay on his tummy, although I did find him rolled on his stomach when I got him up from a nap this month! He spent the night at mom's for the first time when Joe and I went to DC for the Restoring Honor Rally. That was tough leaving him overnight but I knew he was in good hands! He also is saying mamamama and actually said da da once, although we know he doesn't know what he is saying! He's probably around 24 lbs and has such a wonderful tempermant. He is such an easy going baby but is very intent when he's studying or learning something. He takes great naps - 5 a day - and sleeps great at night - 7pm to 7:30am! We love him and couldn't have been blessed with a better child!

7th Month of Life
July was a big month for baby Jayden! He is eating all sorts of fruits and vegetables now. He is 23 lbs. and 28 in. long! He loves the water and is such a great baby. This month he took his first camping trip and was so good - even in the 103 deg. heat! He is sitting up now, playing with toys and is almost rolling over!

Happy 4th of July!
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend celebrating this country's Independence! We had a great time out on the boat with the fam! This was the baby's 2nd time on the lake and they did great! They love the water...although Russell slept almost the entire time!
Jayden is growing up so fast! He turned 6 months old on Sunday! He is now sitting up, reaching for and playing with toys, almost rolling over from back to front and laughing! He still doesn't like being on his tummy as much but we are working on that.
He had his 6 month check up this week......drum roll please.....23 lbs, 28 in long and 18 in head!!! Yep, that's right folks, he's officially in the 90th and 95th percentile for height and weight! LOL Definitely has our hefty German blood in him! Doc said if he put him in a room with 100 other kids his age, he'd be smaller than maybe 5 of them! Hahaha :) However, these rolls won't last too much longer as soon as he starts moving. Pretty soon we'll have to barricade the cabinets and doors!

Jayden's First Snow!

Welcome Home Jayden
Sharon and the baby were finally released from the hospital around 1pm today so we were able to bring Jayden home. As soon as we put him in the car he fell asleep. He seemed to do very well. We haven't introduced him to the dogs yet but they can hear him and are very exicted to meet him. Thank you all for the visits, cards and the comments on the blog.

Jayden Matthew
Sharon and I are proud parents of Jayden Matthew. He was born on January 4th 2010 at 4:07pm. He weighed 8lbs 7oz's. Sharon ended up delivering Jayden by c-section after 10 hours of labor. Jayden refused to cooperate so the doctor decided that it was best for him to be delivered by c-section. Sharon is doing well and is resting now. Thank you everyone for all of your prayers.
